Role Purpose

The LMP Supervisor is responsible for the direct oversight of 24/7 operations at the Liquid Mud Plant across day and night shifts. Operating under strict shift handovers, this role guarantees operational integrity, health, safety, and quality across all fluid mixing, pumping, and transfer processes. Embodying leadership and ownership on the ground, the Supervisor ensures optimal service delivery, asset integrity, zero non-compliance, zero cost of poor quality, zero unplanned downtime, and strict adherence to environmental, client, and micro LMP service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities (Job Specification)

• Oversee daily and nightly fluid mixing, storage, pumping, and dispatch operations to ensure continuous, seamless 24/7 service delivery.

• Enforce strict asset preservation and asset integrity protocols across all LMP equipment, piping, agitators, and silos.

• Maintain strict operational integrity and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) integrity during all shift activities.

• Lead thorough shift handovers (day-to-night and night-to-day), ensuring all operational parameters, safety hazards, quality metrics, and client requests are logged and communicated.

• Drive a culture of leadership, ownership, and strong teamwork among LMP Operators and technicians.

• Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure all scheduled maintenance is executed on time, preventing operational downtime.

• Act as the primary on-shift focal point for operational troubleshooting, maintaining unwavering customer focus.

• Enforce zero non-compliance with regulatory requirements, client mud programs, and corporate safety policies.

• Implement strict quality control measures during fluid preparation and transfer to achieve zero cost of poor quality.

• Ensure full adherence to specific micro LMP service level agreements for response times, batch preparation, and rig delivery logistics.

• Maintain flexibility and adaptability to adjust mixing schedules and shift priorities based on changing rig requirements or emergency client requests.

Person Specification

Education & Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on experience in drilling fluids operations or liquid mud plant management.

• Recognized HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly preferred.
